88 Ryanair flights cancelled at Charleroi on Monday and Tuesday
88 of the 340 Ryanair flights scheduled for Monday and Tuesday at Charleroi airport have been cancelled due to the Belgian Ryanair pilot strike. The airport announced this on its website, and passengers on the affected flights are asked not to come to the airport.
Belgian pilots also walked out on the weekends of 15-16 and 29-30 July. This is the first time they are taking action during the week.
The Belgian pilots demand that their pay be restored to pre-Corona pandemic levels. They also want changes to their rest periods. Despite consultations, no solution has been reached.
As in previous strikes, only Charleroi Airport is affected. At Zaventem, Ryanair flies only with pilots based at foreign airports.
