Banksy originals sold at Brussels art fair to benefit Ukraine and Gaza
A collection of Banksy originals will go on sale at the Antica fine art fair in Brussels, with the proceeds going towards humanitarian projects in Gaza and the rebuilding of schools in Ukraine. The fair will take place from 18 to 21 April at Tour & Taxis.
The works come from private collections, including the anonymous artist's Walled Off Hotel in Bethlehem and Ukrposhta, the Ukrainian national postal company.
“Antica’s stand will feature a diverse range of offerings, including more than 70 different and rare Wall Sections (miniatures of the wall separating the West Bank from Israel, designed by Banksy), some Banksy sculptures signed by renowned Palestinian artist Sliman Mansour, and authentic memorabilia created by Banksy for his hotel The Walled Off,” the organisers said on Thursday.
It will also be offering “very rare” sets of the multicoloured stamps issued last year by the Ukrainian post office featuring a Banksy mural.
