Beach Festival Nieuwpoort kicked off in radiant sunny weather

The Beach Festival Nieuwpoort has kicked off in bright sunny weather this/Friday afternoon. A little after 3 pm, the festival at the coast got underway with a concert by Dagny. The music festival lasts until Sunday and includes shows by big names like Sting, Keane, Oscar And The Wolf and Clouseau.

The organisers of Beach Festival Nieuwpoort this year expanded the festival from two to three days. Performances by Oyesono, Seasick Steve and Fantastic Negrito are scheduled for later today. The headliner of the first festival day at the coastal town is British icon Sting.

Saturday's festival day kicks off at a little before 2 pm with a show by Attention Attention, followed by Jokke and former Eurovision winner Loreen. Next are Dave Stewart and Keane. Oscar And The Wolf, the Belgian electropop band of frontman Max Colombie, will close the second day of the festival.

For the final day, the organisers set up an entirely Flemish programme. Cover band Les Truttes kicks off at 2 pm. Then it is the turn of singer Olivia, followed by a performance by Maksim. The evening programme includes shows by Natalia, Metejoor and Clouseau. The band Clouseau, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, will close the festival.
