Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku moves from Chelsea to Napoli

Romelu Lukaku has agreed a move to Italian club Napoli in the final days of the summer transfer window. The striker is leaving Chelsea in the English Premier League and will move to southern Italy, it was announced on Thursday.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentii posted a photo on social media showing Lukaku signing his contract.

The 31-year-old made his debut at the highest level at the age of 16 in Belgium with RSC Anderlecht. He moved to the Premier League where he played with Chelsea, West Bromwich Albion, Everton and Manchester United, before he went to Inter Milan in 2019.

Two seasons later, he secured a transfer to Chelsea for the second time, but failed to impress. Over the past two years, he spent a second spell on loan at Inter and then was loaned to AS Roma.

Lukaku will be reunited with head coach Antonio Conte, who he previously played under during his first stint at Inter.

The striker has collected 119 caps with the Belgian national team, the Red Devils, and is the country's all-time top scorer.
