Brussels Airlines resumes flights to Tel Aviv

Brussels Airlines has resumed flights to Tel Aviv as of Saturday. A months-long suspension had been in place due to the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Brussels Airlines, a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, is gradually reintroducing services to Tel Aviv, Israel, from 1 February and will increase flight frequency depending on demand. The decision is likely to have been influenced by a recently brokered ceasefire between the fighting parties.
The airline initially suspended flights in October 2023 when hostilities broke out between Israel and Gaza’s militant group Hamas. Since then, the airline has closely monitored the situation, adjusting its operations accordingly.
“After careful consideration, Lufthansa Group airlines - including Brussels Airlines - are resuming flights to Tel Aviv”, the airline confirmed in a statement in January. “Safety and security remain the absolute priority, and we will continue to assess the situation and adjust our schedule if necessary.”
Lufthansa, Brussels Airlines’ parent company, has also reinstated its Tel Aviv route Other airlines are also cautiously returning to Israeli airspace.
