Brussels Auto Show moves to Ghent with new name

The second edition of the Brussels Auto Show will take place in March at Flanders Expo in Ghent. The show will be renamed the Belgian Auto Show, organiser 402 Automotive announced on Thursday.

The traditional Brussels Motor Show, which celebrated its 100th edition in 2023, did not take place in 2024. As a result, 402 Automotive decided to organise its own version at the Brussels Expo in January: the Brussels Auto Show.

However, the organisers of the Brussels Motor Show have announced that the event will return to Brussels Expo in 2025. To avoid confusion, 402 Automative has decided to rebrand its own event with a new name, location and date. The event is now called the Belgian Auto Show and will take place in Ghent from 7-9 March.

30,000 visitors

"We are growing to an area of more than 70,000 square metres, both indoor and outdoor," Auto Show organiser Ronald van den Broeck said in a press release. Special vehicles such as hypercars and supercars will be on display.

According to the press release, there will also be an outdoor "action arena" with rally car demonstrations, stunts and drift shows. The event will also focus on new car models and contributions from local and regional dealers.

The Auto Show attracted 122,000 visitors over five days in January. In Ghent, it will run for three days and the organiser will allow a maximum of 30,000 visitors per day "to manage the crowds".
