Brussels-Prague night train secures future journeys through summer and autumn

The Brussels-Prague night train will continue running throughout summer and autumn after timetable issues in Germany were resolved. The Dutch-Belgian railway company European Sleeper confirmed on this Tuesday.
A few months ago, the train's future beyond June 2025 was uncertain due to difficulties securing a timetable in Germany. However, co-founder Chris Engelsman announced a breakthrough: "We have managed to organise a timetable through Germany. It was a lot of work and hassle, but fortunately with a good outcome," he told Belga.
The European Sleeper night train operates three times a week, connecting Brussels, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Berlin, Dresden and Prague.

In addition, starting 5 February, European Sleeper will launch a new night train twice a week from Brussels to Austria (Innsbruck) and Italy (including Venice) for two months, also running via the Netherlands and Germany.
Belgium's night train market also features competition from Austrian operator ÖBB, whose Nightjets connect Brussels with Berlin and Vienna.
