Brussels to host 50th UEFA Congress

The 50th Congress of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) will be held in Belgium for the first time in 2026, the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) and UEFA confirmed on Thursday.
The event will be held in Brussels on 12 February. "The presidents, CEOs and delegations of the 55 European associations will discuss and vote on important issues, shaping the future of European football," the RBFA said.
"This decision is part of the RBFA's ambition to grow at an international level, an objective that is reinforced by the appointment of Pascale Van Damme to the FIFA Council."
The 49th UEFA Congress was held in the Serbian capital Belgrade on Thursday. Last year, it was moved from Madrid to Paris, and in 2023 Lisbon hosted the event. The first UEFA Congress, which was founded in 1954, was held in Vienna in 1955.
