Chinese carmaker Xpeng has on the first day of the Brussels Motor Show presented its prototype of a flying car. The Xpeng X2 is an electric vehicle for two people that can take off and land vertically.
Today, Friday, is the first day of the 101st edition of the Brussels Motor Show. The event takes place at Brussels Expo and runs until 19 January. A record 63 car and commercial vehicle brands are participating. As Belgium’s largest trade fair, the Motor Show aims to attract 300,000 visitors this year.
Chinese car brand Xpeng, imported into Belgium by Hedin Automotive, is presenting at its stand its prototype of a flying car. The Xpeng X2 is an electric vehicle for two people that can take off and land vertically thanks to four propellers positioned at the four corners of the vehicle.
The flying car is not yet on sale in Belgium. Xpeng does offer three types of electric cars in Belgium: the G6, G9 and P7.
The Brussels Motor Show officially marks the Chinese manufacturer's arrival on the Belgian market, according to the brand's management. Xpeng has sales outlets in Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent and Maldegem.
