Free four-day Sfinks Mixed festival kicks off

The Sfinks Mixed free festival in Boechout, Antwerp province, began on Thursday. This year's edition includes the Colombian salsa group LA-33, Chilean ensemble Calle Mambo, Ivorian singer Dobet Gnahoré and K-pop band Numori.

The festival presents music from all corners of the world, for young and old and has a mission of sustainability. As every year, the event is free and offers not only an interesting range of music but also a lot of food thanks to a food truck market with dishes from all continents.

Sustainability is also kept in mind: everything is offered in reusable cups and plates. Visitors may also bring their own cups. With its solar panel installation, the festival will run partly on green and local electricity.
