Joost Klein allegedly threatened Eurovision employee
Swedish police are investigating a complaint against the Dutch singer Joost Klein regarding a possible threat, police in Sweden told the Dutch news agency ANP on Saturday.
Klein, the Dutch entry for the Eurovision Song Contest, was not allowed to take part in the dress rehearsal for the final on Friday night.
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which organises the contest, said it was investigating what it described as an "incident".
The incident is said to have happened on Thursday night at the Malmö Arena. The complaint was lodged by an employee of the Eurovision Song Contest.
The police questioned Klein, the complainant, and several witnesses. On Saturday, the investigation was handed over to the public prosecutor's office. According to a police spokesperson, the investigation "could take weeks."
It is still unclear what the consequences of this investigation will be for Joost Klein's performance at the Eurovision Song Contest final on Saturday night.
