Joy Donné: New CEO of the Flemish export agency Flanders Investment & Trade
N-VA MP Joy Donné has been chosen as the new CEO of the Flemish export agency Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT). Flemish Prime Minister Jan Jambon announced this on Friday. Donné succeeds Claire Tillekaerts (65) at FIT, who will retire at the end of June.
The Flemish government has been looking for a suitable successor for a while now. After an independent and extensive selection procedure, five suitable candidates remained, one withdrew his candidacy. Joy Donné was eventually selected from the four remaining candidates.
Donné (47) acquired three master’s in Law - Economic, Business and Finance Law. He started his career as a lawyer at Benelux full-service law firm Stibbe’s office and became active in politics. In 2014, Donné started working as head of the cabinet of the then Minister of the Interior, Jan Jambon.
Flanders Investment and Trade is a fusion of ‘Export Flanders’ and ‘Service of Investment in Flanders, founded in 2005 by the Flemish government. FIT helps Flemish companies expand their business abroad. Additionally, it assists foreign companies in finding Flemish suppliers.
