Man charged with murder of woman and two children in Ixelles

A man has been arrested and charged with murdering a woman and her two children in Ixelles, the Brussels public prosecutor’s office has confirmed.

Police received a call on Saturday morning from a concerned family member and went to a residence in Avenue Jeanne. Inside the home they found a 54-year-old man and the bodies of a 40-year-old woman and her two children, a 13-year-old boy and a one-year-old girl. 

The man is reported to be the woman’s partner and the father of the younger child. He has been charged with murdering all three victims.
