EntertainmentLAB launched at Flanders International Business Awards
During the first Flanders International Business Awards ceremony on Wednesday, minister president Jan Jambon and Joy Donné, CEO of Flanders Investment Trade (FIT), kicked off EntertainmentLAB.
EntertainmentLAB is an initiative of FIT, Start-up.Flanders and Flanders Technology & Innovation, with the support of dance music festival Tomorrowland. It is an innovation programme to shape the future of the entertainment industry.
"EntertainmentLAB aims to explore new avenues that make the most of Flanders' strengths in the broadest and most concrete way possible," Jambon said. "In an area where our region is ahead of the international competition: the entertainment industry."
The organisations involved are now calling on Flemish and international start-ups to become involved. They can participate in three challenges: circularity and recycling, immersive experiences and crowd monitoring. The selected start-ups will be able to test their innovations during a Tomorrowland event next summer.
