Proximus partners with Amazon Web Services for international digital transformation

Belgian telecoms provider Proximus has signed a multi-year agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to modernise and streamline its international operations. The company announced the partnership in a press release, highlighting its commitment to advancing cloud-based solutions and artificial intelligence.
As part of the collaboration, Proximus will use AWS services, including generative AI technologies, to accelerate its digital transformation. "This is in line with our ambition to become a global leader in digital communications, digital identity and connectivity," the company said, describing the initiative as a modernisation journey. Proximus is also investing in the rapid development of cloud expertise among its employees.
A key example of this modernisation effort is Roubot, a customer chatbot developed using Amazon Bedrock, an AWS tool that gives IT developers access to different AI models.
