Red Lions beat South Korea and qualify for Paris Olympics
Belgium's men's hockey team have booked their place at the Olympic Games in Paris. The Red Lions defeated South Korea 4-0 in the semi-finals of the Olympic qualifying tournament in Valencia, Spain, on Friday.
Belgium were too strong for the South Koreans, who barely managed a shot on target. Goals from Tanguy Cosyns, Florent Van Aubel, Tom Boon and Felix Denayer earned Belgium a place at this summer's Olympic Games in Paris, France.
The Red Lions will join the Red Panthers in Paris, who qualified on Thursday. The Lions have a successful recent Olympic history, winning gold in Tokyo in 2021 and silver in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
Belgium will take on Spain in the final of the qualifying tournament on Sunday at 18:00. South Korea will face Ireland in the consolation final, with the winner also qualifying for the Paris Olympics.
