Russia adds International Criminal Court president to wanted list
Russia added Piotr Hofmanski, president of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, to its list of wanted persons on Monday. The authorities did not provide details of the allegations against Hofmanski.
"Hofmanski Piotr Jozef, Polish. Wanted under an article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation," reads the limited description in the Interior ministry's wanted list, according to state news agencies Tass and Ria Novosti.
In March, the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Russian president Vladimir Putin and one of his advisers for their role in the deportation of Ukrainian children. Putin has also been accused of war crimes.
Russia, which is not a member of the ICC, insists the charges are "void". The country has also issued arrest warrants for ICC prosecutor Karim Khan and several judges.
