Sheryl Crow returns to Belgian stage after 20-year hiatus
The Live is Live music festival in Antwerp, which will take place from 28 to 30 June this summer, will feature American musician Sheryl Crow on a Belgian stage for the first time in 20 years.
Other new names announced on Thursday are Gossip, Zornik, Passenger, Lord Huron and Intergalactic Lovers. Earlier, the festival announced that The National will headline the opening day, with The Smashing Pumpkins possibly closing on Sunday. Sheryl Crow will perform on Saturday 29 June. Another headliner for that day will be announced soon, the organisers say.
Crow has sold more than 35 million albums worldwide and won nine Grammys. The musician and singer is known for hits such as All I Wanna Do, Soak Up The Sun and If It Makes You Happy. She is set to release a new album, Evolution, in March.
Tickets for Live is Live are already on sale, with day tickets now available for Saturday.
Line-ups announced
Other major Belgian festivals have also been confirming their line-ups. Dance music festival Tomorrowland last week announced more than 100 names including regulars such as Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, David Guetta and Tiësto.
Cactus Festival Bruges (12-14 July) has announced local acts Het Zesde Metaal, Compact Disk Dummies and Brihang. British trip-hop stars Massive Attack will play at Lokerse Feesten (2-11 August), and Architects, Mr. Bungle and Limp Bizkit are coming to Graspop (20-23 June).
