Two explosions in Antwerp cause damage to houses and vehicles

An explosive device was thrown at a house in Hove in the province of Antwerp last night, and local police reported a second explosion the same night.

In Hove, the exterior of the building and a nearby parked vehicle were damaged, but no one was injured. A similar incident occurred the same night in the Borgerhout district of Antwerp, damaging a house and several parked cars.

In both cases, the forensic laboratory and the army's bomb disposal service went to the scene to observe the proceedings.

According to the Antwerp public prosecutor's office, both incidents could be linked to the drug scene that plagues the port city. The police are also investigating a possible link between the two explosions.
