Walden Festival returns to Brussels’ Leopold Park this weekend
People of all ages are welcome to enjoy music in all its different forms in the green heart of the European Quarter this weekend. The ‘not so classical’ festival offers a wide variety of alternative concert formats and genre-bending music.
On Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July, Walden Festival returns to Leopold Park in Brussels. Classical, contemporary, jazz, non-Western, and ‘new classical’ music are the ingredients for this year’s edition. With short concerts, a relaxed atmosphere, cosy picnicking, the greenery of Brussels and a number of architectural jewels, Walden is certainly aiming to reinvent the music festival experience.
Visitors can expect top performances from artists like An Pierlé Quartet, Tutu Puoane, Brussels Jazz Orchestra feat. Philippe Thuriot, Gretchen Parlato & Lionel Loueke, Driss El Maloumi Trio and many more, so there will certainly be something to enjoy for everyone. The unique concert locations, from the garden next to the Museum of Natural Sciences to the Solvay Library, will only add to the experience.
The full weekend tickets for the festival are sold out but there are still some day tickets available for both Saturday and Sunday. Tickets and more information can be found on the website of Walden Festival.
